Introduction
These pasages right from the get go show the differences between the Gospels and how they are written - I actually think it's quite cool how each one starts with something a little different.
- Matthew - with His geneology
- Mark - with the good news (Jesus IS the messiah & son of God)
- Luke - a "summary" of events follows.
- John - Jesus was the creator and is light to the world
The thing that stood out to me about these was how Luke mentions that this is only a summary of events - and that the reader of the letter Theophilus has probably heard many other stories beyond this - I wonder if anything interesting didn't make it into the new testament?
